James D. DuMont, longtime resident of Grand Ledge, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2017.

Jim was the youngest of eight children. He was born July 6, 1964 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Joseph F. and Charlene M. (Campbell) DuMont. He graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1982.

Jim was employed by Art Van Furniture and had many jobs throughout his life, including Knights of Columbus Insurance. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Richard Council #788. Jim loved hunting, fishing and playing sports. The Du was a people person and looked forward to hanging out with friends where he loved to tell stories and jokes. He loved to hear people laugh. He was also a big MSU sports fan. Jim appreciated the community and was proud to call Grand Ledge his home.

He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, three children, one grandson, seven siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dog, Maddie.
