Charles Edwin “Mickey” Allen, Sr., 85, husband of Ophelia Wooten Allen, of Greenville, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family, who gave all he had to serve others.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC, he was the son of the late R.E. and Erma Jean Bennett Allen.

Mickey was a member of Donaldson Church of God.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Rev. Dr. C. Eddie Allen, Jr., and his wife Kim; two grandchildren, Rev. Christopher Daniel Allen, and his wife Maggie and Courtney Michelle Allen and her fiancé, H.T. Warren; and a sister, Barbara Clark, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Nalley.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the Tremont Church of God with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
