Charles Guyton Creamer, 88, our loving, precious father, joined his Lord Jesus Christ and his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy “Dot” Hawkins Creamer in eternity, on December 19, 2017. He went peacefully to heaven for Christmas in the arms of his family. Charles was formerly of Belton.

Born June 8, 1929, in Williamston, he was the son of the late Clarence J. and Mary Elizabeth Creamer. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers, Dendy, Johnny, Ray, and Bill Creamer and two sisters, Helen Kimbrough and Mary Getsinger. Charles was the last surviving member of his family.

Charles was a proud patriot having served at Fort Campbell, KY, during the Korean War. After service, he established Creamer Body Shop of Belton. His attention to detail and perfection led to a successful career of over 40 years. He modeled dignity, integrity and hard work every day of his life. His talent and love of cars continued well into retirement through the restoration of antique automobiles which are cherished by his children today. His hobby of car restoration led to many friends and many awards at car shows around the state. Charles was a loving husband, amazing father, doting grandfather, and gracious friend. His smile, generosity and sense of humor was contagious. His wisdom of 88 years was priceless. He was a longtime member of Whitefield Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director, teacher, treasurer, and deacon. He enjoyed serving the Lord by serving others. More recently, Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Williamston.

Survivors include his twin daughters, Karon Creamer Dukes and her husband, Tripp, of Anderson and Sharon Creamer Hall and her husband, Dennis, and granddaughter, Alexa “Lexi” Hall, of Williamston.
