She was born Dec. 24, 1905, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of John Oliver and Alvina Winifred Hahn Oliver. She married William E. Christison May 28, 1955. He died in 1963.
During the 1940s, she worked as the Long Grove, Iowa, telephone operator. She worked for the Dr. J.B. White family, Davenport, for several years and retired from Rock Island Arsenal.
Survivors include a brother, Leslie J. Oliver, a sister, Hazel O. Cole, of Davenport; nieces, Marcia Oliver Koehler, Davenport, and Kathleen Oliver Fredericksen, Bettendorf; six great-nieces and nephews; and 15 great-great-nieces and nephews.
