Worth Nelson Duncan, age 86, died Tuesday, December 20, 2017 in Premier Living and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Waccamaw, NC. Born October 30, 1931 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Major Hustler and Aline Essie Ludlum Duncan and the widower of Virginia Highsmith Duncan.

He is survived by one son: Richard Nelson Duncan and wife Sonya Hathaway Duncan of Tabor City, NC; two grandchildren: Shelby Renee Duncan and Abbi Danelle Duncan of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Clara Lindey Rouse and husband Leon of Jacksonville, FL; one sister in law: Barbara Ann Duncan of Tabor City, NC and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Major Benjamin Duncan, Mitchell Merill (MM) Duncan and Willis Delano Duncan; and one sister: Ponnell Duncan.

He cherished the people of Ocean Creek Resort, where he was employed for 27 years and his church family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 3 PM in Duncan Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
