Herman Rogers – Age 81, of Nashville, passed away December 18, 2017.
Mr. Rogers was kind man that loved to be involved in the community as a member in the Masons, Shriners, and the Moose Lodge. He was avid collector of anything western. He was also a great fan of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and John Wayne. He graduated from Father Ryan High School and worked for many years for the Metro Water Dept. In his spare time he brought joy to children and adults alike being Santa Claus all over the Nashville area at schools, nursing homes, restaurants, and many other events. He was a veteran in the United States Army, and also a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a member of ROPE. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie; second wife of 30 years, Mary Sargent Rogers. Survived by daughter, Lisa Conklin (Wade); grandchildren, Will Conklin & Wendy Hardaway (Jesse); great-grandchild, Jade Hardaway; several nieces and nephews and many family friends.
The family would like to express a special thanks to West Meade place for the tremendous love and care giving to Herman.
A Graveside service will be held at the Centerville City Cemetery.
