Mary Ann Goode, age 73, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on December 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her son Daniel, brothers Ron and Ed.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years, Daniel; her children, Cynthia (Christopher) Tafelski, Scott (Wendy) Goode, Amy (Phil) Swedberg; grandchildren, Benjamin, Joseph, Andrew, Spenser, Ashton, Savannah, Sierra, Maximus, Michael, Jacob, Nathan; brother, Jim (Char) Elderkin, sister, Joyce Blok, daughter-in-law, Hadley Goode, many extended family members and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a steadfast member of St. John Vianney church who was involved in many different parish ministries, including the Sunshine Guild, and fed the hungry on Thursday evenings at the Downtown Ministries. Mary Ann was an avid golfer and even achieved a hole-in-one. She always had a smile on her face, a hug for those who needed it, and a quick mind and twinkle in her eye to tease or joke with all.

The Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, with Fr. Mike Alber presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Friends and relatives may meet the family for visitation from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Monday, December 18 with a vigil service at 6:00 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Educational Foundation.
