North Augusta - Services for James "Jim" Williams, 84, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sunset Memory Garden. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Williams died Saturday. Born in Neeses, he was a son of the late Tillman and Salley Williams. He was owner and operator of Jim's Nursery for 53 years, U. S. Army Veteran and served during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Davis Williams; sons, James Williams, Walter Byrd, Hugh Williams; brothers, Grover William, Garvin Williams; sisters, Lee Bowers, Hilda Williams, Dolly Williams; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 14 Aug 2000
