Carol L. Barrickman, 56, of Cherry Valley, IL, died Mon. Nov. 26, 2012, at home, after a courageous and graceful battle with cancer. Born in Rockford to Richard and Sally DeWitt; she married Mark Barrickman on July 28, 1979. Carol was a dedicated wife and mother and the glue that kept the family together. She enjoyed family vacations and camping. Carol had great strength and courage to face her disease with dignity and grace. Champ, her faithful dog, provided her much comfort and love.
Survived by loving husband, Mark; children, Chris and Morgan; mother, Sally; brother, Paul (Vickie) DeWitt; sister, Jenna (Al) Soderberg; aunt, Marilyn Moore. Predeceased by father, Richard; loving grandparents and uncle, Lew.
