Born January 20, 1958 in Lansing, the daughter of Ronald D. & Peggy Jean (Hutcheson) Murphy, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at age 59. Debbie graduated from Haslett High School in 1976. She retired from MSU after 25 years and worked for the Holt Public Schools. She was an active member in the Holt community and was very honored to be involved with the start of the Holt Junior Rams Cheerleading program.HoHo She wasn’t just a coach but a second mother to many of the people whom she touched throughout her lifetime.
Debbie is preceded in death by her mother Peggy Jean Murphy and god-daughter Nicole (David) Roberts.
Surviving is her husband David, 2 children: Ryan Carpenter and Kasey Carpenter and her fiancé Sawyer McFadden, her father Ronald D. Murphy, 2 brothers: Tim (Sue) Murphy and Todd Murphy, father in law Dave Carpenter and mother in law Gloria (Bob) Stragier and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2017, 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt-Delhi Chapel, 5035 Holt Rd, Holt. Private family graveside services will be held Saturday. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com.Holt
