Pensacola - SANDRA JEAN THOMPSON-MCDANIEL, 12/8/1962 - 12/13/2017. Sandra Jean Thompson-McDaniel, 55, of Pensacola passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2017. Ms. Thompson-McDaniel is a native of Pensacola. She proudly served as a member of the United States Army, where she was stationed in Germany. She loved to travel, having spent several months touring various European Capitals during the early 90s. Upon her departure from the U. S. Army, she returned to Pensacola, where she was employed by The City of Pensacola.

Ms. Thompson-McDaniel was preceded in death by her brother, Lorenzo McDaniel.

Survivors include: her parents, Joe and Bernice McDaniel of Pensacola; Son, Anthony Thompson of Cleveland, Ohio; Sister, Bonnie Joyce McDaniel of Atlanta, Georgia; Brothers, Joe McDaniel, Jr. of Pensacola, Phillip Jerome McDaniel of Memphis, Tennessee (wife Betty Allen McDaniel of Pensacola) and Bruce McDaniel of Pensacola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:00 am at Macedonia Baptist Church located at 3802 N 9th Ave. There will be a respite immediately thereafter in the Church Fellowship Hall. A private internment will take place on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Barrancas National Cemetery at 10:30 am.
