From The Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, UT) - Wednesday, September 8, 1948:
Mrs. Agnes Fowler Tyne, 39, 580 E. 45th South, died Monday at 11:35 p.m. in a Salt Lake Hospital, after a lingering illness.
Born April 1, 1909 in Vernal, Uintah county, she was a daughter of Richard and Margaret Pack Fowler. She was married to William E. Tyne Jan. 5, 1929 in Bountiful.
Mrs. Tyne was a member of Mill Creek ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Beside her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, William R. Tyne; two daughters, JoAnn and Annette Tyne; two sisters Doris Fowler and Mrs. Lucille Kuhn, both of Salt Lake City, and two brothers, B.L. Fowler, Jackson, Wyo., and Lester Fowler, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday noon at 124-4th East, where friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
