Alma J. Stock, 72, Golden Villa Apts., Batesville, died Sunday, July 14, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati.
Stock was born Nov. 4, 1912, in Batesville, the daughter of Bernard and Mary Suttmann Schulte. She was married to Paul H. Stock Jan. 23, 1936, in the St. Lois Catholic Church in Batesville, and he preceded her in death May 11, 1967.
Stock had been employed at the Batesville State Bank as a teller, at the Batesville Water and Gas Utility Co., and secretary of the Batesville School Superintendent. She also assisted her late husband in the management of the Hillcrest County Club in Batesville and worked at Hillenbrands Industries in the bookkeeping department. She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church, the Ladies Society of the church and the Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald P. and Milt J. Stock, both of Batesville, and Bernard A. Stock, Gaithersburg, Md.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence (Shot) Schulte, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Sarah) Ferkinhoff.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville, with the Rev. Ric Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville after 4 p.m. today. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. this evening.
The family suggests memorials be in the form of donations to the Communicative Disorder Foundation for Cancer Research, in care of the university of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.
