Florence H. Ray, 75, left to be with her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2009. She was the second child born to Phil and Helen Weeks Schnorr in Jacksonville, Fla. Florence retired and moved to Flagler Beach, where she spent her last years relaxing and traveling. She was a devoted member of Crescent Beach Baptist Church, where she found pleasure singing in the choir and developing special friendships and memories. Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Ray is survived by her loving husband, Dick Ray; daughter, Terri Sneed; sons, Chris Odermatt and Gary Odermatt; step-daughter, Diane Clemons; step-son, Darrell Ray; grandchildren, Trey Gates, Ronni Gates, Bailee Yarbrough, Ashley Cassels and Christina Odermatt; step-grandchildren, Dana and David Clemons; and great-granddaughter, Sidney Williams.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2009, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. David Beauchamp and Dr. Wallace Griggs, on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
