He worked many years as an electronic equipment installer and supervisor for Burnup and Sims and D O Creasman Electronics. Throughout his life he enjoyed boating, fishing and the outdoor Florida life.
He is survived by his sisters, Louise Ellis Burnett of Tampa and Marianne Ellis Bradley (Laurens K Jr) of Clearwater. He was preceded in death by his nephew and godson, James Earl Bobbitt and is survived by his nephews, William."Gee" Burnett Jr. and Charles Ellis Burnett and nieces Pamela Frances Burnett Dato and Alison Burnett Pennington, their families and many lifelong friends.
His ashes will be interred at a later date in the Ellis family plot in Summerville cemetery in Augusta, GA with his parents and grandparents. A celebration of life will be held in 2018.
