A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Lizzie Mary Jones of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 will be held on Saturday, December 23rd, 11:30 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pastor Terry Smith of New Beginning Tabernacle, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Lizzie was born on May 20, 1938 in Albany, Georgia to the late Washington Wallace and Catherine Ellis. Lizzie enjoyed ceramics. She was preceded in death by her parents, Washington Wallace and Catherine Ellis; brothers, Jimmy and Barry Wallace; sisters, Delores Scott and Evelyn Carter and son, Gregory Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Rodney Wallace, Jacqueline Jones, Denise Jones, Vincent Jones and Alvinia Young (Landis); grandchildren, Conneil Jones, Cortrell Wallace, Latiya Bell, Lashika Young, Indi Johnson (Robert) and Shawanna Felton, Sharod Jones, Demarcus Young (Mayra), Marcus Jones, Jarvarious Jones (Harley) Kenniya Norman, Jaylen, Jayani, Darius, Markwon, Amauri, Donte, Ceriyah, Tatianna, Tre’Shaun, Cedrick, Cameron, Rylan, Isaiah, Jordan, Ah’Zauria, Luella and Miracle; brothers, Eugene “Front” Wallace (Boki); sisters, Lillie Belle Bivens, Leola Wallace and Ruth Ann Branton and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 22nd from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
