Norene Boyd Roberts died December 19, 2017 at the age of 95. She was born on December 30, 1921.
Mrs. Roberts was raised in Mississippi and later moved to Mobile, Alabama around 1942. She was a housewife and homemaker for many years, and then she was employed at Master Cleaners as a Seamstress. She loved sewing and continued to sew until her eyes would not allow her.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Satsuma and a dedicated Christian person and a kind- hearted lady. Before she lost her eyesight she was a member of various church committees and always willing to give her time and help to anyone in need. Her favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 41:10 and her favorite song was Precious Memories.
To know her was to know Love.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Rex J. Roberts, Sr. and a daughter, Lucille Dunn.
Surviving are her three daughters, Bonnie Hutchinson (William D. Hutchinson), Kitty Freeman (Robert Freeman) and Robin Gardner (Frank Gardner), a son, Rex J. Roberts, Jr. and a step-son Johnny Roberts, also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Alabama.
Private family graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 in Satsuma Cemetery, Satsuma, Alabama
