Ronald E. Daniel, 66, of Momence, IL, died on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL. He was born on March 8, 1951, in Hammond, IN, the son of Edward E. and Hilda Adams Daniel. He married Joann L. Cote on May 3, 1969, in Kankakee, IL. She survives.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Ronald E. and Melissa Daniel Jr. of Kent, WA, Rick and Dawn Daniel of Bourbonnais, IL, and Larry and Jen Daniel of Bourbonnais, IL. One daughter, Dawn Fleischauer of Limestone, IL. Two brothers and sister-in-law; Jim and Janet Daniel of St. Germain, WI, and Mike Daniel of Momence, IL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Alex Daniel, Kaleigh Daniel, Justin (Liz) Daniel, Brandon Daniel, Shelby Daniel, Scott (Kellie) Daniel, Tyler Daniel, Hannah Daniel, Clayton Daniel, Kendyl Daniel, Travis Fleischauer, Cody Fleischauer, and Austin Fleischauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Sue LeCount and Linda Holdman.

He was a sergeant of the Kankakee County Corrections Department, owned and operated R&J Custom Cabinets and retired from Kankakee County Community Services Inc. as the weatherization coordinator.

He was a member of the Manteno Church of God in Manteno, IL. He enjoyed building model cars, boats, planes and playing his guitar. He shared his expertise and love of music with many and was proud of the family band, “Diamond Delux.” He generously provided instruments for family and friends spreading his joy of music. He treasured spending time with his family.

MEMORIAL VISITATION will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, December 23rd, at Manteno Church of God, 126 E. 1st St., Manteno, IL. 60950.
MEMORIAL SERVICES will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23rd, at Manteno Church of God, 126 E. 1st St., Manteno, IL. 60950. The Pastor David Hanners will officiate.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
