Eve Mae Edwards, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9, 2017.

Eve was born in Salt Lake City to John William and Edna Thorstrum Myers on September 24, 1924. Like many, she grew up in the great depression, which she spoke of often. Her grandmother, Caroline, played a large role in her upbringing and installed in her a sense of love and worth.

Eve moved to Hollywood with her sister, Grace, hoping to start an acting career. She received a part in a play, but then her father died. Eve and Grace both returned home for the funeral and never went back to Hollywood. Eve had met Harvey William Edwards and happily decided to be his wife. They were married on May 9, 1947.

Eve and Harvey moved to American Fork in 1949. They were members of the Alpine Country Club in Highland, where they enjoyed friends and golfing. During the 1960's, Eve was active in the American Fork Steel Days celebrations and the Miss American Fork pageant. She was a volunteer at the American Fork Hospital as a Pink Lady.

When Harve retired in 1978, they spent the next fifteen winters in Mesa, Arizona and their summers in Orem. They formed many wonderful friendships throughout their lives. During those summers, she loved having her grandchildren come visit, to swim in her pool and enjoy a tasty lunch prepared for them afterward.

She was active in the American Fork Presbyterian Church for years and kept a picture of it in her living room until her death.

Eve was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey William Edwards; six siblings, Lee, Jack Betty, Ivy, Grace, and Donna; one grandson, Tyler Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Raylee Edwards. She is survived by her four children, Duke (Teresa), Valerie, Steve, and Jim (Cindy); seven grandchildren, Tasia, Brittnay, Ian, David, Jeffrey, Spencer Edwards, and Rachel Li; and ten great-grandchildren. She was a warm, loving mother and grandmother.

Eve loved people; she always saw the good in others, rejoiced in their successes and would carefully listen to their sorrows. We are grateful to have been in her life. As the years passed and strength failed, Eve was loved and cared for by her daughter, Valerie. Her final days were made easier by Val's understanding of her needs and how to meet them.

Eve's memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7600 South)
