Vicki Shay Johnson, 61, of Galesburg, died at 2:46 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017 at home.

Vicki was born June 13, 1956 in Hayti, MO, the daughter of Claude and Margey (Buchanan) Johnson. Vicki is survived by a sister, Wanda Johnson of Chicago and her foster family, Crystal and Anthony Spencer of Peoria and their children, Tonne and Aliyah Spencer and the beloved family dog, Pnut. She was preceded in death by her parents and a ½ brother.

Vicki worked for P.A.R.C. and later E.P.I.C. in Peoria from 1990 to 2013. During that time, Vicki also worked for the Peoria Area Christian Center. She also worked at Taco Bell for a time. Vicki was devoted to God and loved reading her bible. She was also very involved with the Special Olympics, playing multiple sports and served as an ambassador. Vicki was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and attended at least one baseball game every season. She was also a fan of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Vicki was an avid traveler and had visited Graceland numerous times.

Visitation will be 12:30-1p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded.
