"Glenn D. Black, Jr., 66 years of age and a lifetime North Beach area resident, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born to Glenn Dale and Helene (Mowitch) Black, Sr. and was an enrolled member of the Quinault Indian Nation.

"He was raised in the North Beach area, attending school there and graduated from high school in the mid 1960’s and had played football. He worked as a mill worker in the Moclips area shake mills and had been a commercial clam digger.

"For some seven years, Glenn traveled with the Taholah Canoe Club on their ocean trips. He enjoyed camping, cooking, cutting fire wood, walking on the beach and playing pool.

"Glenn is survived by two sons, Glenn D. Black, III, of Aberdeen and Jason S. Black of Aberdeen; two daughters, Lavonne M. Morgan of Aberdeen and Carmen H. Black of Westport; two brothers, Leroy Black of Hoquiam and Mario Jake of Taholah; one sister, Cheryl Shale of Taholah; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and his significant other, Sandra Klatush of Moclips.

"In 2006 he was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Black of Oakville."
