Charles W. Alexander, Sr., 84, of Fairfield, PA died Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2017 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg, PA.
Born April 19, 1933 in Emmitsburg, MD he was the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Hess) Alexander. He was the husband of the late Norma (Whited) Alexander who died April 6, 2014.
Mr. Alexander attended Grayson Elementary School and Gettysburg High School. He was the founder of Alexander’s Plumbing and Pumps in Fairfield. He was a former Fairfield School District Board member, as well as Liberty Township Supervisor. In addition to his business Charles loved farming.
He is survived by his four sons, Charles W. Alexander, Jr. and his wife Dawn, Randall L. Alexander and his wife Kelly, Ronald L. Alexander, Jeffrey A. Alexander and his wife Angela, all of Fairfield, PA, ten grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Brandi, Dustin, Stephanie, Angie, Jen, Kim, Steve, Denise, and a number of great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Alexander and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA with Pastor Kenneth Reid officiating. Burial will be in the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery, Emmitsburg, MD
