Obituary for Marion Talley Stevens
Marion Talley "M.T." Stevens of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Wentworth Place in Magnolia.
He was born on September 28, 1925 in Emerson, Arkansas to the late George Henry and Florrie (Talley) Stevens. He served in the United States Army, was a Mason, a member of the American Legion, and a member of Emerson United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Stevens Store in Emerson for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alyne Sherman and Arlette Stevens and many extended family members.
M.T. is survived by his wife Bobbie Stevens of Magnolia; his children, George "Bob" Stevens and wife Jackie of Magnolia, Carl "Ed" Stevens and wife Astryd of Fayetteville,, and Betsy Lewis and husband Carl Jones of Magnolia; grandchildren, Scotty and Dena Lewis of Greenwell Springs, LA, Wesley and Marissa Lewis of Maumelle, AR, Joshua Joiner of Searcy, AR, Andres Stevens of Fayetteville, AR, Natalie and Daniel Hill of Magnolia, and Crystal and Dale Cooper of Robert, LA; great grandchildren, Jaci, Lane, Bailey, Sarah, Austin, Sadie, Andrew, Aidan, and Judah; and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Emerson United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Lewis and Pastor Kyle Jones officiating.
