Mrs. Levy O. Ketron, 91, nee Dorothy Elizabeth Burrer of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Treude officiating.

Graveside services and interment followed at the Ketron Family Cemetery in the Cherry Mountain community.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Mrs. Ketron was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Edwin Burrer and Olga Jung Burrer. She married Levy Oswald Ketron on May 1, 1943, in Fredericksburg, and was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband of almost 75 years, Mrs. Ketron is survived by two sons, two daughters and spouses, including David and Genevieve Ketron and Carolyn and Eugene Whitehead, all of Fredericksburg, and Verdie Drake of Austin.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mildred Carter of Pueblo, Colorado.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Ketron was preceded in death by a son, Harold Ketron; four brothers, James Burrer, Edwin Burrer, Leroy Burrer and Elmer Burrer, and a sister, Josephine, Mrs. Clayton Stehling.

Memorials may be made to the Cherry Mountain Schoolhouse or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Logan Ketron, Lowell Ketron, Laird Ketron, Kelly Weiershausen, Eugene Whitehead and Gerald Ottmers.
