Kimberly Di Ann Tanner was born on April 14, 1959 to her beloved mother Anna Maye (Johnson) Tanner in Des Moines. The family then moved to Cedar Falls where Kimberly spent the rest of her adult life.
After this she worked at a variety of jobs, however her most important and cherished job was being a mom to her only daughter, Melissa. Kimberly Tanner enjoyed spending her time listening to music, her favorite band being Casting Crowns, reading books, going out to see a movie, and eating at a variety of restaurants.
However, her most beloved past time was spending time with her family. Kimberly will be remembered as a giver; she always had something to hand out whether it was presents to her precious grandchildren, sound advice on life, or the giving of her time to Crossroads Church of the Nazarene where she was a member.
Kimberly Tanner passed away on December 12, 2017 at Sartori Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved dog; Brandy.
She is survived by her daughter; Melissa (Mark) Schnackenberg of Cedar Falls, two brothers; Pat (Chris) Tanner of Cedar falls and Mike Tanner of Cedar Rapids, two beloved grandchildren; Madison and Michael.
Kimberly Di Ann Tanner will be forever in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
