Lyons,
Mr. Keith Perkins, age 74, of Lyons, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a native of Carrie, Kentucky, lived in Chicago, Illinois and LaGrange, Indiana for many years, and has lived in Lyons since 1986. He worked his whole life as a tool and die manufacturer and specialist. He owned many businesses throughout his career, and retired in 2014. He founded and was the former owner of Lyons Tool and Machine. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to refurbish old cars. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Zimmerman; granddaughter, Megan Emerick; parents, Estill and Georgia Ann Perkins; five sisters and four brothers.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 19th at 3:00 p.m. in Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Plowman and Senior Pastor Don Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Flowers will be accepted, or those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 410, Lyons GA 30436.
