LITTLETON, Colo. — LeRoy Frank Jirik passed away Thursday Feb. 22, 2018, in Litteton Colo.
He was born on the farm outside Palisade, Neb., on Sept. 11, 1935. His parents were James Jirik and Orpha (Goucher) Jirik.
He married Verna Marrs on June 24, 1954, in Trenton, Neb.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He also supported his family working various jobs over his lifetime. He retired from public accounting in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verna; his brothers, Jim and George; and his son, LeRoy Jr.
He is survived by three children, Naomi Hauf of Cross Roads, Texas, Lucinda Jirik of Littleton and James Jirik of Granbury Texas; three granddaughters, Carrie Hauf, Kelesy Jirik and Kayla Jirik; grandson, Chris Waits and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be Monday, March 5, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo.
