Va Beach - Sandra "Bunny" Leigh Daniels, 70, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in Virginia Beach.

Sandra "Bunny" Leigh Daniels was born November 2, 1947, in Petersburg, VA, the daughter of Harvey Leigh and Foris Winfield. Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Philip Daniels. They just celebrated 26 wonderful years of marriage. She is predeceased by her son, Craig. She is survived by her son, Aaron Harding and his wifem Jennifer, and her granddaughter, Teagan. She is also survived by her step-daughters, Shawna Daniels and Kendall Braswell and grandchildren, Rosemary, Caleb, Austin, Aleigha, and Brendan.

Sandra grew up in Colonial Heights, VA. She enjoyed a great childhood growing up by "the lake" as she would call it, where she created lifelong friendships. She was known as Bunny, a nickname that was given to her by her father at an early age. She was a majorette throughout high school. She also was an exceptional dancer and ballerina. She loved fashion, taken after her mother and would always dress in the latest trends and designs. She was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the races with her husband. She loved animals, especially dogs and leaves behind her beloved Dachshund Scarlett and Miniature Schnauzer Junior. One of her favorite things in life was singing along to Tina Turner and Elvis Presley.

Sandra finished business college and got her first job working at the Pentagon. She worked in civil service 30 years, retiring as a computer systems analyst for Naval Intelligence. After retiring her passion was volunteering with local charities and helping elderly people with no families

Bunny was a loving person and made everyone smile. She adored all her children and grandchildren and was an integral part in their lives. Her family looked to her as a beacon of love and compassion. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.

The family will greet friends to celebrate her life on Wednesday, December 20th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 1485 Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23464. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 21st in the funeral home chapel. Burial services will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Miners Rd. Suffolk, VA, 10 a.m. Friday, December 21st. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CHKD. Condolences may be offered to the family at:
