A native of Memphis TN., Mr. Beaver served in the United States Army as a Sgt. during WWII. He had lived in Albany since 1964 and was the owner and operator of Beaver Oil Company and distributed fuel for Union 76. Mr. Beaver was a former member of the Exchange Club of Albany and a past president of the Exchange Club Fair of Southwest Georgia Inc. and the Radium Country Club and he was of the Episcopalian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Let and Sue James and a son, John "Buzz" Beaver, Jr.
