Upon retiring from nursing, she and her husband enjoyed volunteering and traveling, and spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona, to escape the cold and wet northwest weather.
After 15 years living at the Oregon coast, Marion and her husband moved back to the Willamette Valley in 2005 and settled in the SalemTowne community in Salem, where she continued her volunteer work, was active in her local church, and enjoyed playing cards in the evening with her many friends.
