--The remains of J.P. Alberry[sic] were brought to Marion from Independence, and the funeral was held last Sunday afternoon in the Presbyterian church. Dr. Ensign was in charge. The deceased was a former Marion resident.

Married on Feb. 4, 1867 in Linn Co. IA to Anna Augusta (nee Eggleston) Metcalf.Picture on the right is the Allbery Family. Edwin and Jewett are related to them.
Not confirmed if he is buried at Blair Cemetery because I got a brief note from someone at the cemetery stating that "Washington CO, Ohio Blair cemetery is pretty well covered, and also back in those days with train travel established, there were an awful lot of "remains" sent back to cemeteries in other states, regardless of where the person actually died. I am sorry to come up blank on these four. Jerret, Harriet, Edwin and Sophia. Death 3 Mar 1921 in Blair, Washington CO, Nebraska.

His wife Harriet (Evans) Allbery of 36 living with her mother Cynthia Evans of 65, widow, in Barlow, Ohio, registered on the 1880 Census. Cynthia died in 1885 and buried in Barlow.

1840 Census Liberty, Washington County, Ohio shows no name of Jewett however, his father Richd Allbury with two White Persons under 5 years old.

1900 Census Cono, Buchanan County, Iowa shows Jewett as a boarder and widowed born Dec 1839.
