Kirby proudly served his country during World War II in the Army. He retired from Sealed Power Corporation, as a National Warehouse Manager. Kirby and Anna Mae were long-standing members at Richland Baptist Church, and taught Sunday school classes to the Senior members. Kirby was Treasury Secretary for Woodman of the World, and a member of the Pennsylvania Masons, Bedford Lodge #320 since 1958. He was passionate about his family, enjoyed Big Band music and playing the organ.
Kirby is survived by his two grandchildren Nichole Gates and Jennifer Moore, his great-grandchildren, Austin and Avery Gates, and great-grand dog Charlie Moore. Arrangements are being handled by Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX 75081. The Viewing will be on December 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on December 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
