A Memorial Service is planned for 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park for Harold Raymond Bennett, 82, of Chico. He passed away at home on December 3, 2017.
Harold was born September 9, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond and Lucille Bennett.
The family moved to Chico when Harold was a young boy.
He married Lorna Annette Howard in 1956 and the couple had two sons, Bradley and Gregory Bennett.
Later, Harold married Edna Inez Birdseye and was a loving, devoted husband until his passing.
He served time in the National Guard, and received an honorable discharge from the Army in 1962. He worked for Aerojet in Sacramento, and enjoyed a 30 year career with the Holly Sugar Corporation before retirement.
In his younger days Harold enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles. More recently, he and Edna spent time traveling and walking and bicycling together. He really loved the trip they took to Alaska.
Harold is survived by his wife Edna, sons Bradley (Linda) and Gregory (Robin) Bennett, four grandchildren and Edna’s children Cindy, Ed, Nick and Chris and their families.
