Howard Eugene Drake, Jr., 75 year old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died December 14, 2017, in his home.

Born February 22, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Howard Eugene Joseph Drake, Sr. and Lila Ruth Murphy. Howard and Cathy Sue Macoubrie were married June 26, 2006 and he was a major for the Benton County Sheriff Department. Howard was a member of the East Kenwood Missionary Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Vela and grandson Bry Hulsey.

Survivors include his wife Cathy of the home; daughter Tia Wilson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; son Matt Drake of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; step daughters Shannon Schmitt and husband Bill of Cameron, Missouri and Lisa Chartier and husband Patrick of Nardin, Oklahoma; step son William June and wife Sara of Kansas City, Kansas; 8 grandchildren Chelsea Kincheloe, Kaden Wilson, Ethan Drake, Ashlynn Drake, Michael Schmitt, Raymond Schmitt, Kassandra Perry and Kayde Chartier; 9 great grandchildren; sister Georgetta Drake of Wichita, Kansas and half brother Art Scott of Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
