Jamie Dan Cooper, 58, of Clovis, NM passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Services will be held, 2:00pm CST Monday, December 18, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 404 Avenue E, Farwell, with Rev. Rick Raney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace. Cody Varnell, Justin Meeks, Jason Meeks, Landon Meeks, Brian Meeks, Seth Meeks, and Micah Howard will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will be honorary pallbearers.
Jamie was born September 4, 1959, in Clovis, NM to Kenneth Cooper and Corinne Apple Cooper. He married Suzanne Howard July 10, 1981, in Portales, NM. Jamie was a member of Faith Christian Family Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife; Suzanne Cooper, daughter; Ashley Varnell of Lubbock, TX, son; Jamie D. (Jennifer) Cooper of Austin, TX, mother; Corinne (Truitt) Hardage of Abilene, TX, two brothers; Kevin Cooper of Abilene, TX, and Dean Hardage of Clovis, NM, four sisters; Judy Hawkins of Virginia, Cindy Meeks of Farwell, TX, Tori Meeks of Farwell, TX, and Suzanne McGee of Lubbock, TX, and six grandchildren; Chase Cooper, Riley Cooper, Kendall Cooper, Saylor Varnell, Broxton Varnell, and Makenzee Ingersoll. He was preceded in death by his father; Kenneth Cooper, and brother; Gary Hardage.
