Clara Belle Cross, 93, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away December 15, 2017 peacefully at her home while surrounded by family in Norman. She was born June 11, 1924 in Wayne, Oklahoma to John Early Reinhardt and Cora Mae Selman Reinhardt.
As a child, she moved to Purcell, Oklahoma where she grew up and met her husband Louis S. Cross. There, they raised eight children.
Clara Belle was a homemaker and noted for her wonderful home cooking, canning, gardening and hand sewn quilt making. She loved being surrounded by her family. Clara Belle was known for her beautiful warm smile as she greeted everyone she saw; she always received a smile back. She never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Cross is survived by her sons Keith Cross, Danny Cross and wife Mary, and Wally Cross all of Norman, Oklahoma; her son David Cross and wife Margie of Moore, Oklahoma; her daughters Alice Griffitts and husband Richard, and Loretta Collins and husband John all of Norman, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: parents John and Cora Reinhardt; husband, Louis, son: Willie Cross of Midwest City, Oklahoma, daughter: Nancy Cross Landers of Noble, Oklahoma, grandson: Larry Landers of Noble, Oklahoma, and seven siblings all from Purcell, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 19th at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel with Bob Atterberry officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
