He was born April 11, 1963, in Parkersburg, WV, the son of Hoyt Eugene and Mary Emma Jean (Farmer) McClure of Cottageville.
Stan was a tooling supervisor for Pactiv Corporation, Mineral Wells, WV. He enjoyed golfing, basketball, shuffleboard and the Cleveland Browns; but what he enjoyed mostly was spending time with his family, especially, his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon Ann (Lane) McClure; daughters, Shelly Dawn McClure of Parkersburg, and Sheena Marie Franklin (Tyler) of Morgantown; grandchildren, Madilyn, Chandler and Ali; brother, Steve McClure (Leshia) of Cottageville; sister, Cynthia Martin (Michael) of Cottageville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donnie and Bernard King of Ripley; sister-in-law, Nellie Fullen of Wellington, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Committal service and burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV, with Pastor Vera Archer officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Stan McClure Memorial Scholarship Fund, 104 Kolbe Street, Morgantown, WV 26508.
