Agnes received her education from the Carroll County School system, graduating from Robert Moton in Westminster, MD in 1946. She worked "day" work until she accepted employment at English American Tailoring as a seamstress from 1967-1992. She attended Fairview UMC at an early age and transitioned to St. Luke UMC and remained a member there until the time of her death. Her hobbies included watching the Orioles play baseball, playing Rook at the famous card parties, gardening, and bowling.
As the Dorsey family struggles again with this precious moments in our hearts, we are reminded of our unique love and remembrance of Agnes Geneva Dorsey. We think about her quiet manner, strong faith, her strength and determination, love for family, and living her life so the GOD would receive the Glory. To mourn her passing, she leaves daughter Robbinette Terry Dorsey Whittaker (Marvin Gerald), four grandchildren T.J. (Amanda), Eric (Tasha), Shanyce, and Kayla, all of Sykesville, Maryland, 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville. Interment in St. Luke UMC Cemetery, Sykesville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10am until the time of services.
