Born August 31, 1954 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Aida (Sanchez) and the late Marciano Reyes.
Angel retired after 30 years of public service, the last 14 he served with the SUNY Cobleskill University Police. He moved his family to Cobleskill in 2001 from Oneonta. Angel was passionate with his martial arts that he practiced with his longtime friend, Juan Queris. A proud firearms instructor, he taught at the Otsego Academy. Angel enjoyed hunting, masonry, and tinkering with cars, and having the ability to fix almost anything.
Along with his father, he was predeceased by his brothers, Hector and Rigoberto Reyes.
A loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many, his memories will be cherished by his wife, Stacey (Allison) Reyes, whom he married September 7, 2000; his children: Kerstan (Stacey) Reyes, Mark Cintron, Brooke (Scott) Cortright, Christina (George) Reyes, Ioni (Gabriel) Reyes, Jerrod Kimble, Marciano Reyes, Roberto Reyes, Natalia Reyes,; his mother, Aida Reyes; his siblings: Marcial Reyes, Artie (Anne) Reyes, Victor (Nancy) Reyes, Jose (Laurie) Reyes, Ruben (Jayne) Reyes, six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
