Lillian Ruth Yancey Carter of Cherokee Village (formerly of Jonesboro) died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born June 6, 1938 at Cave City, Arkansas to Everette and Ruth (Ingram) Green Kelley. She was a member of the Ash Flat Baptist Church and formerly a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, William (Joe) Yancey and James Carter; two sisters, Dorotha (Green) Turner and Helen (Green) Davis and a great grandson, Timothy William Eugene Bogard.

Survivors include two sons, Everette "Bill" Yancey (Elaine) of Mammoth Spring and Edwin Yancey (Penny) of Jonesboro; one daughter, Teresa Orrick (Randy) of Horseshoe Bend; 7 grandchildren, Misty Bogard of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Wendy Greer (Jerry) of Jonesboro, Dustin Davis (Misty) of Trumann, Jeramie Yancey (Angela) of Paragould, William Yancey (Veronica) of Paragould, Coy Yancey (Diane) of Jonesboro and Joseph Yancey of Maine; 12 great grandchildren, Devon Salzman, Hailey Salzman, Courtney Cole, Cody Cole, Destiny Davidson, William Rydar Davis, Chase Yancey, Faith Yancey, Zoie Yancey, Corbin Yancey, William Jr. Yancey and Kurstin Yancey; a brother, Everette Green (Daphne) of Florissant, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Davis, Jeramie Yancey, William Yancey, Coy Yancey, Bryan Green and Tony Davis.
