Graveside services with military honors will be Monday, December 18, 2917 at 11:30 A.M. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville with Chaplain Sue Wynne officiating. Weiker Funeral Home in Slater is in charge of the arrangements.
Born February 4, 1949 in Keokuk, Iowa, he was the son of the late Raymond Clifford and Lottie Jo McClain Edwards.
He attended grade school in Kahoka, Missouri until 1959 and then Brookfield grade school and graduated from Brookfield High School in 1967. He enlisted in the U.S. Army following graduation and served in the intelligence field of the NSA while in Vietnam in 1968. He married Virginia Overman in 1970 in Brookfield and they lived in Kansas City where he worked as a conductor for the Rock Island Railroad, MKT railroad and later the Kansas City Southern Railroad. Following his divorce he lived in Ventura, California for several years before returning to Brookfield.
He is survived by a daughter, Carrie Ann Wolkoff of Hewlett, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Jacob, Vaughn and Skyler Wolkoff all of Long Island, N.Y. and a brother, Dennis Edwatds of Durant, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Edwards.
