Funeral services for Ruby Ilene Carroll, age 80, of Olla, will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, December 15, 2017 at Olla First Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Redmen Cemetery in Dequen, AR on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 PM until service time at Olla First Baptist Church.

Ruby was born December 6, 1937 to the union of Oscar Lee and Maggie Mills Young in Horatio, AR and she passed from this life on December 13, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

She was retired from Justiss Oil Company after 27 years as an accountant. She was a member of the Olla Pinewood Garden Club and Olla First Baptist Church. She loved animals, reading, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her son: Tony Wesson; her parents; two brothers: Douglas Young and Oscar Lee Young, Jr.; sister: Lorece Barnhill.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years: James L. Carroll of Olla; two sons: Trey Wesson and his wife Carman of Fort, TX Worth; Tim Wesson and his wife Lisa of Olla, LA; two step-sons: Steve Carroll and his wife Amy of Magnolia, TX; Jimmy Carroll of Picayune, MS; step-daughter: Cindy Carroll of Mobile, AL; brother: Jesse Young of Nashville, AR; sister: Donnie Kiser of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren: Lexi Ammons, Magen Roberson, Zac Wesson, Sam Vercher, Aaron Wesson, Meagan Boss, Drew Sciabarassi, Kelly Townsend, R.J. Townsend, Austin Carroll, Daniel Wesson, and Stephanie Carroll; great-grandchildren: Dakota Gary, Luke Roberson, Anna Grace Roberson, Elizabeth Roberson, Jonathan Roberson, and Carlee Vercher.

Pallbearers will be Keith Roberson, Zac Wesson, Aaron Wesson, Drew Sciabarassi, Kelly Townsend, R.J. Townsend, Daniel Wesson, and Austin Carroll.
