Mrs. Teresa Childers Cochran, age 62, of Fairmount passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She was born January 11, 1955 to Sherman Dolphus and Velva Childers.
She is survived by her husband Danny Cochran of Fairmount; daughters and son-in-law, Kristina and Kevin Crook of Ranger, Sonia Mathews of Jasper; grandchildren, Joseph Crook, Kolbi Crook, Tyler Estes, Brandon Estes; brothers, T. D. and Billie Jean Childers of Jasper, Jackie and Greta Childers of Suches; sisters, Joan Gaddis of Fairmount, Susan and Jim Parks of Jasper, Linda and Junior Higgins of Fairmount. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Padgett and brother-in-law, Butch Gaddis.
The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Larry Kelley officiating. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help a needy family for Christmas. Donations can be made through Roper Funeral Home.
