Frank L. Morse, 70, died in Orange General Hospital, Orlando, Florida.

Born in Ithaca September 14, 1864, he was a son of Ben and Sarah Morse. He was educated at Ithaca High School. In 1900 he married Miss Cora M. Perry of Ithaca, the sister of David B. Perry, vice-president and secretary of the Chain Company.

Mr. Morse, with two of his brothers, founded Morse Chain Company, which began in Trumansburg, New York in 1893. The enterprise was later moved to Ithaca, New York in 1906. In 1929 it was sold to the Borg Warner Corporation of Chicago. Frank Morse had several other business interests and companies in his fold including extensive real estate investments.

Mr. Morse lived in Ithaca, his residence known as "Greentrees" located in Cornell Heights on Ridgewood Road. He also maintained a home in Orlando, Florida where he was director of the First National Bank of Orlando.

He was a member of the Engineers Club of New York, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers among many other organizations. Mr. Morse was a Unitarian.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora M. Perry Morse; one daughter, Mrs. Rowena Allen Nelson, Durham, North Carolina; a son, Anthony Perry Morse, Providence, Rhode Island; a sister, Dr. Rowena Morse Mann, University of Chicago; a brother, Virgil D. Morse, Ithaca; two grandchildren, Durham, North Carolina.

The last rites were held in "Greentrees", the Morse family home on Ridgewood Avenue, Ithaca. Interment was in the East Lawn Cemetery family plot.
