Wesley was born on October 29, 1933, to the late David Crockett and Mettie Quillen in Greenup County, KY. The ninth child of eleven.
In 1954 Wesley married his lifelong sweetheart Shirley; they have remained in love and married for over 63 years.
Wesley retired from A.O. Smith after over 36 years of dedicated service. Outside of work he could be found living life to the fullest. In his younger years you could routinely find him running around a softball field or out hunting and fishing with family and friends. As he started to slow down a little he transitioned to dominating the competition on the horseshoe pits and winning everything in sight at the local turkey shoots. When he wasn't doing that he was watching his kids and grandkids on the ball fields and his beloved Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats on the television. No matter the activity he was engaged in at the time, he always did so with his family and friends at his side. No passion was ever greater to him than the love and support he gave and received from his family.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Shirley; his son's Wesley, Terry, and Marty; his daughter Donna; and eleven grandkids and fourteen great grandkids. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Quillen, of Greenup, KY and his sister, Helen Reed, of Lloyd, KY.
Visitors are invited to come between 11:00AM and 12:30PM on December 14, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH. A funeral service will follow at 12:30PM with Mr. Rob Williams officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.
