Bernice Cecilia, daughter of John and Julia (Orth) Bopp was born May 18, 1914 at Stirum, North Dakota. She was united in marriage to Cecil Kennedy in 1936. They lived in Crete, where they operated a General Store for over 50 years. Bea was also a school teacher before her marriage to Cecil and was the Postmistress in Crete for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cecil, and all three of her sisters and brothers-in-law.

Bea’s three children feel so blessed to have had a wonderful mother for all these years. We are all honored to have had Bea in our lives; our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The time we had with her will always be cherished and her presence will be truly missed by us…and her loving memory will never be forgotten.
