Mrs. Walley, age 81, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2017 in her home with her loving family by her side.
Fern was born September 4, 1936 in Montgomery, LA to Paul and Lena Lawson. She was a loving and faithful wife to Donald Walley for fifty six years, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She was known for her big heart and compassionate ways. She was a well loved business woman, giving care to countless children throughout her forty years as owner of Alexandria Daycare. Fern was a beloved member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria for over fifty years where she was involved in countless ministries such as bus ministry, bible study team ministry and Sunday school.
Mrs. Walley is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lena Lawson; her brother, Nerry Lawson and her sister, Jean Himel.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of fifty six years, Donald Walley of Alexandria; her daughter, Debbie Walley; her son, Todd Walley and his wife Lynnette; her grandchildren, Farren McQueen and her husband Eric, Michael Walley , Brooke Walley; her great grandchildren, Layla and Paisley McQueen; her adopted family, Debbie Lang, Holly Cox, Kaine Nichols, Gaige Nichols, Trystan Cox and her brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Michael Walley, Byron Antee, Kent McGee, Keith Nichols, Eric McQueen and Mickey LeBlanc.
