Steven C. Pierce Sr. aged 54 years of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away suddenly and unexpected on Sunday evening December 10, 2017 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born March 31 1963, he was the son of Edith E. (nee Hughes) Pierce and the late Arnold J. Pierce. He had been an area resident all of his life, growing up in Gouldtown.
Steven attended Fairfield Twp. schools and was a 1981 graduate of Cumberland Regional High School. He was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1985-1988. He was currently employed with AJM Packaging in Millville, he had also worked for C. Harrell Trucking, Wheaton Glass, Durand, and the U.S. Postal Service. He loved barbequing and cooking for family and friends, dancing and fishing.
He is survived by his mother Edith E. Pierce of Upper Deerfield Twp., his sons Steven C. Pierce Jr. and wife Shannek of Bridgeton, and Andrew M. Pierce of Gouldtown, one brother Harvey A. Pierce and wife Bonnie of Vineland, three grandchildren Ja Niesha Pierce, Steven C. Pierce III, Richard James Pierce, and several cousins and other relatives.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday December 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Sray-Webster Funeral Home, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll's Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. prior to the services. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
