Funeral Services for Raymond Durham, 79 of Park Hill will be 10:00 am Tuesday December 12th at the South College Church of Christ where he was a member. There will be a private interment in the Cookson Procter Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
Born one of 10 children on December 8, 1938 in Delaware County, OK to William and Reba Hughes Durham.
He was a 1956 graduate of Jay High School, Jay, OK. The same year he joined the US Navy where he served four years. Following his discharge he lived with his older brother Robert and wife Sue in Monument, New Mexico. He met Telva Lee Thomas of Hobbs N.M. at a skating party. They married on Nov 19, 1960. They had three sons; Raymond Terry Jr., William Clyde, and Danny Burke.
Raymond and family re-located to Arkansas in 1972 where they milked and raised chickens for a living. He retired and moved to Cookson, OK on Lake Tenkiller where he loved to fish, garden, and hunt.
Telva, his wife of 51 years passed away June 4, 2012, Raymond then married Linda Carl for Monet, MO on Jan. 15, 2015.
Raymond is survived by his wife Linda; brothers Everette of Keys, OK Robert and wife Sue of Cookson, OK and Billy of Jay, OK; a sister Sue and husband Kirby of Colcord, OK; sons Raymond Terry and wife Janie, and William Clyde and wife Rebecca all of Summers, AR. And Canny Burke of Lincoln, AR; eight grandchildren Jessica, Trey, Blake, Allison, Lacy, Willliam, Chad, And Josh; 12 great grandchildren, as well a many relatives, friends, and loved ones.
