Ronnie Sanders, 71, beloved Father, and world's best story teller was called to his eternal resting place on December 10, 2017. He entered this world on February 8, 1946 in Clovis, NM, born to Calvin and Lucy Sanders.
He attended Eastern New Mexico University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Micro-Biology. It was there he met and married his college sweetheart Barbara Keener. They married September 8th, 1968.
He worked as the Manager of Operations for both Holly Sugar and Crystal Sugar for 14 years before leading operations for several Ethanol companies. Before retiring he was the Director of Operations for Hastings Utilities for 13 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hastings, NE for 30 years where he served as Head of Deacons for 10 years. He and wife Barbara also attended Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Lucy Sanders; and father-in-law Wilburn Keener.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sanders of Bella Vista, AR; daughter, Tammy Flohr and husband Eric of Bentonville, AR; son, Chad Sanders of Dickerson, TX; sister, Gloria Morris and husband James of Sugarland, TX; 5 grandchildren, Emily and Lauren Flohr of Bentonville, AR, Courtney Harvey and Cody Goertz of Santa Fe, TX and Tyler Goertz of Denton, TX; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Thursday, December 14th from 5-7pm. at the Steed-Todd Funeral home in Clovis, NM, Funeral service will be Friday, December 15th at 1pm at Steed-Todd. Graveside service will follow at 2 pm at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
